Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is the first Pixar film to be awarded Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes

The film, which also stars Bill Murray, Will Arnett, Josh Gad, and Kristin Scott Thomas, won Best Animated Film at the 2013 Golden Globos on Sunday night, as well as Best Original Song for “Beauty and the Beast.”

The film also nabbed Best Picture for “Cars 3,” which stars John Lithgow and John C. Reilly.

The Oscar nominations were announced at the 89th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

“Beautiful” is a Pixar film, but it was the first Disney film to win a Best Animated feature Oscar.

The studio also won Best Picture and Best Original Score at the 2012 Golden Globas, for “Inside Out.”

“Beautifully crafted and enchanting,” Pixar says on its website.

“In our hearts, we feel like we have finally found a story worthy of the award.”

“The Lion King” is nominated for its sequel, “The Book of Life.”
